The intensive training will take place in Bologna (Italy), October 7-14, 2013 and will engage a group of artists, activists, educators, youth leaders and unemployed LGBTIQ youth. Participants will be involved in study, discussion, and art practices as we work about art, community, and self-expression for an exploration of the aesthetics of sexuality and gender via art in public space, while also participating to local public art events and forums organized by local organizations.
As artists, activists and/or speakers, you will be asked to engage during Space/ID activities in a relevant and structured way: sharing a practice, elaborating an individual or collective art project, or facilitating a workshop on art, gender, LGBTIQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, intersex, queer) issues and sexuality.
Preparation activities will focus on participative art practices and potential creative contamination among projects. Please, check and join QueerArtLAB Facebook group for online sharing!
Everybody is welcome to apply!
Due to funding rules, just selected participants resident in Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Poland, Spain and United Kingdom will be granted within the framework of Youth in Action Programme full coverage of board and lodging in a USE-IT hostel for the whole duration of the activities and 70% of travel reimbursement upon presentation of requested receipts.
